Architecture
The Starlink path feeds one OPNsense WAN path. The exact OPNsense interface mapping must be confirmed and labeled.
On July 1, 2026, 192.168.100.1 was identified from pve as a Starlink
endpoint. The user confirmed Starlink was moved to bridge mode and its
192.168.100.0/24 use conflicted with KH3's old internal .100 subnet. Treat
192.168.100.0/24 as Starlink-side/deprecated, not a current internal LAN.
Configuration
Management method, service account owner, billing contact, bridge/bypass mode, and support details belong in the approved credential and asset systems.
Operational Procedures
- Check physical power and cable seating.
- Check Starlink application status and obstruction data.
- Check pfSense gateway health and failover state.
- Record outages with provider timestamps.
Troubleshooting
If the Starlink service is healthy but traffic fails, test the upstream gateway from OPNsense and verify the gateway group has failed over correctly.
